Infection Control Information

NEW INFECTION CONTROL EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN INSTALLED!

The health and safety of our patients and staff is our highest concern. During the dental closure, we still worked hard toward keeping our patients and staff safe by installing a centralized evacuation system in each operatory. The system captures chair-side aerosols during procedures. The extraction arm is located above all dental chairs and articulates to any desired position. This system also helps to turn over operatory air at over 200 CFM removing airborne contaminants and providing a more sterile operating environment for our staff and patients.

What to expect for your dental appointment:

-You will receive a pre-screening call or message the day before your appointment.

-Please wear a mask or face covering to appointment to comply with our City mandate.

-When you arrive, you may notify us from your car. If you enter the reception room, you will likely be immediately seated. We are limiting the number of people in the office. You will see no magazines or children’s toys in the reception room. The office has plexiglass in the windows. The common areas are frequently sanitized throughout the day. As always, the dental office uses hospital grade disinfectants to sterilize the operatories.

-Your dentist, dental assistants, and dental hygienists will be wearing even more personal protective equipment (KN95 and cover mask, face shield and gown) to comply with State mandates.

-You will be asked a series of screening questions.

-Your temperature will be taken. (Staff temperatures are also taken upon entry of facility).

-You will be asked to use hand sanitizer.

-You will be asked to rinse with 1.5 percent hydrogen peroxide for 60 seconds prior to procedure. (This is a State mandate.)
